Meet Suzie

Hi! I’m Suzie! I’m a pediatric speech-language pathologist and mother of two amazing and rambunctious little boys who are teaching me more and more every day. I grew up on the South Shore and love working in a community that means so much to me and my family. I have an extremely energetic personality that allows me to quickly establish a positive relationship with children and their families. I believe each child is unique and I strive to make each therapy session playful, engaging, and motivating by incorporating your child’s interests into their communication goals. Collaboration is also key to your child’s success and I enjoy working closely with caregivers, other therapists, and teachers to facilitate generalization of skills and maximize your child’s progress.

I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) as well as a License to practice Speech Pathology in Massachusetts. I received my Master’s of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the College of Saint Rose.

My areas of specialization include articulation and phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, early intervention, fluency, tongue thrust, and expressive/receptive language disorders in preschool and school-aged children. I have specialized training in PROMPT© technique, in addition to experience in implementing a variety of communication programs including Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking® curriculums for children with social pragmatic difficulties, and Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol for children with Apraxia of Speech. I have also completed training in DIR/Floortime®101 and various TalkTools®training to further help children with motor speech difficulties.

In my free time, I love spending quality time with friends and family, chasing after my boys, and eating good food.
